Apple Demoes Improved Mail App At Its iPhone Event

September 12, 2012
Speaking from the company's currently-ongoing iPhone event at the Yerba Buena Center, San Francisco, Scott Forstall has shown-off some of the new features added to the built-in Mail app in iOS 6. As first reported by ourselves, some months ago:
Now, users in Mail can resend emails. This means redrafting the same email is no longer necessary. For example, you recently sent an email to a friend to confirm an upcoming dinner date. Unfortunately, for whatever the reason, your friend failed to respond. Instead of redrafting a new email, iOS 6 lets you hit a “Send Again” button, which is an available option after clicking on the reply button in Mail. Best of all, you can revise the previous email before you send it again.
Furthermore, in iOS 6, users also have the option of creating "VIPs," in order to ensure that all-important email messages are never missed. In addition, iOS 6-powered iDevice owners can also flag email messages from within the new and improved Mail application. Sounds great, right? Check out our AppAdvice live blog for all the iPhone-related news as it's announced! You'll be able to download iOS 6 from September 19.
