Mixel Gets iPhone 5 Support Plus New Feature That's Worth Writing Home About

September 29, 2012
The original Mixel app for iPad has been discontinued, but in its stead is the new Mixel app for iPhone. Released just last month, Mixel for iPhone is a "fun, little app" for making photo collages. And it has been recently updated with some enhancements that make it even more fun but in no way littler. As might have been expected, the updated version of Mixel is now optimized for the four-inch Retina display of the new iPhone 5. But perhaps a more noteworthy improvement is the addition of a feature that lets you send real postcards right from the app. After creating a collage, you can post it for other members of the Mixel community to see. Then, you have the option to share your collage with your friends via email, SMS, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, any other supported app, or, in the new version of Mixel, good old snail mail. In partnership with Sincerely, Mixel now lets you share any of your collages as a real postcard. With your permission (and payment, of course), your collage will be turned into a four-by-six inch postcard and shipped to any address of your choosing. Also including the ability to tag friends on your collages, the new version of Mixel for iPhone is available now in the App Store for free. Mixel now also has a new collage style, bringing the total number of styles to seven. The different collage styles currently supported by Mixel are Bento, Cereal, Milkshake, Oatmeal, Filet, Takeout, and Pepper. I wonder why I'm suddenly hungry ... [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
