Caffeine junkies rejoice. Starbucks will soon be coming to Passbook.
The Seattle-based coffee behemoth recently posted this on its Twitter account earlier today:
And that’s definitely good news as Starbucks was one of the Passbook compatible apps demoed by Apple when the feature was first announced at WWDC back in June. Passbook was officially launched when iOS 6 was released on Wednesday. And there is already a growing number of compatible apps like MLB.com At Bat, Ticketmaster, Walgreens, Fandango, and Lufthansa. If you interested in learning more about how exactly the service works, take a look at our recent AppAdvice Daily episode that tells you everything you want to know about Passbook and more. While I’ve been excited for Passbook to roll out, the Starbucks update can’t get here soon enough for me and everyone here at AppAdvice. And with the popularity of its app that has the same functionality, I think many iOS 6 users will get their first taste of Passbook with Starbucks. What other apps are you hoping to become Passbook compatible soon?Updated to iOS 6? Our Passbook update is coming at the end of this month! 00111010 00101001
