Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is celebrating its 10th anniversary in an exciting way. Rockstar Games announced in a blog post that it will be releasing an Anniversary Edition of the classic PlayStation 2 game for iOS users this fall.
The iOS version of the title will feature the full experience of the game with high-resolution graphics and several enhancements unique to the mobile devices.
Vice City is one of my all-time favorite console games, and I’m looking forward to reliving the experience on the smaller screen of my iOS devices.
Rockstar has done a great job transferring some of its most popular titles over to the mobile space. Grand Theft Auto III was released for iOS devices late last year, and a favorite of mine, Max Payne, hit the App Store in April.
And to celebrate the news, users can also grab some great deals on other GTA games in the App Store now. Grand Theft Auto III, a universal title for both the iPhone/iPod touch, is on sale for $0.99. The iPhone version of Grand Theft Auto: China Town Wars has also been reduced to the $0.99 price.
We’ll let you know when we hear more information about when the game will hit the App Store. Hopefully, it will be a universal title like Grand Theft Auto, with a price of around $4.99.
