Wipe Out The Undead In Zombie Swipeout HD, Complete With Gory Retina iPad Graphics
October 19, 2012
Just in time for Halloween, the iPad version of Zombie Swipeout is finally here.
Zombie Swipeout is, by all accounts, Zynga's answer to Halfbrick's Fruit Ninja.
Made by the same developer behind the comedic castle defense classic ZombieSmash, Zombie Swipeout actually plays like a combination of Fruit Ninja and ZombieSmash. What's more, Zombie Swipeout features the undead characters and the sole human character from ZombieSmash.
In fact, Zombie Swipeout challenges you to slash through the undead and avoid bisecting the un-undead guy named Joey in the process.

In addition, you may swipe through the coins that recurrently get tossed across the screen. You can then use your collected coins to purchase special weapons and power-ups in the in-game store. You know, for when you realize that the default machete is too cliché for wreaking annihilation on the zombies.
Duly optimized with bloody and gory Retina graphics for the third-generation iPad, Zombie Swipeout HD is available now in the App Store for $0.99. A free, ad-supported version of the game is available as well. Similarly, the original Zombie Swipeout for iPhone is available as a $0.99 ad-free game or as a free, ad-supported one.
