Apple Showcases Shared Photo Streams And iPhone 5 Noise Cancellation In New Ads
November 21, 2012
"Well, it's that time of year again. You know, picture-taking season." Thus begins "Turkey," one of two iPhone ads launched by Apple just in time for Thanksgiving.
Through the mouthwatering festivity of Thanksgiving, "Turkey" highlights the "easy as pie" sharing function of Photo Stream.
Available on iOS 6, Photo Stream sharing allows you to select any number of your photos and seamlessly share them with others. Or as the ad's narrator, who apparently happens to be Jeff Daniels, puts it: "… with Photo Stream, you can share all the photos you want, with just the people you want."

The same narrator is also present in the other new ad, titled "Orchestra."
Featuring a group of instrumentalists performing the background music also used in "Turkey," "Orchestra" playfully demonstrates the iPhone 5's noise cancellation capability.
With the aid of the device's rear-facing mic, the iPhone 5 is able to reduce background noise during calls. Basically, as pointed out in the ad, it's akin to the narrator requesting the orchestra to turn the music down.
