Have A Merry Monster Christmas With This Hairy Interactive Storybook App

With Christmas just a few weeks away, we're now starting to see more and more new Christmas-themed apps cropping up in the App Store. There's the Christmassy DreamWorks Dash n Drop, to name one. And there's Monster Christmas, to name another.
Monster Christmas is the first app from Purple Ely, an emerging creative studio focused on making engaging art and illustrations.
The app constitutes a step toward Purple Ely's aim to "create fun and safe digital environments to mirror children's early experiences" and "support their paths to independence and self-discovery through carefully created games and adventures."
Narrated by a cute, kiddie voice, Monster Christmas is essentially a children's storybook app centered on a monster family and their Christmas adventure.
Through amusing rhymes and interactive illustrations, the app answers the question, "What is a Monster Christmas?" It is, apparently, "a giving, slimy, merry family Christmas!" And the app explains exactly what makes it so.
Monster Christmas also includes character profiles of the monster family in the story, which is composed of Peter and Peril and their mom and dad.
Compatible with iPad running iOS 4.2 or later, Monster Christmas is available now in the App Store for free.
