Rescue The Mars Curiosity Rover In The Red-Hot New Levels Of Angry Birds Space
November 1, 2012
Angry Birds Space, the only title in the Angry Birds series set in outer space, has just landed on a brand new update.
The last update to Angry Birds Space was pushed by Rovio to the physics-based puzzle game a little over a couple of months ago. That update was notable in that it signaled the arrival of a new episode in the form of the Red Planet.
Developed by Rovio in collaboration with NASA, the Red Planet sees the titular avians in their mission to retrieve the Mars Curiosity Rover from the thieving bad piggies.
The Red Planet began with 20 regular levels and two antenna egg levels set on Mars, complete with fiery asteroids and exploding volcanoes.
Now, through the game's new update, 10 new blazing and volcanic levels have been added to the Red Planet. These include the Mars Curiosity Rover boss level.

"The Bad Piggies are still hiding out on the fiery planet with the commandeered Mars Curiosity Rover," explains Rovio in the update's release notes. "Can the birds recover their eggs and rescue the rogue rover?"
In addition, you can unlock a new antenna egg level and a secret bonus level by getting three stars on all levels and hunting for the hidden rover, respectively.
Furthermore, a new space eagle bonus level for each episode of Angry Birds Space has also flown into the game. To unlock all five bonus levels, you must first obtain 100 percent on the space eagle destruction meter.
Angry Birds Space for iPhone, which is now optimized for iPhone 5, and Angry Birds Space HD for iPad are available in the App Store for $0.99 each.
