Stop, Look And Shoot: iStopMotion Updated With iPad mini Support And More
November 3, 2012
Coinciding with the official release of the iPad mini, Boinx Software's iStopMotion for iPad has just been updated with full support for the new device. But that's not all, since the popular stop motion and time lapse app has been updated with several other improvements as well.
To start with, iStopMotion now includes an option to insert a a frame into a clip. Available in black or white, frames can be added to your clips by tapping and holding the capture button to open the relevant menu.
The updated app also includes better sharing options, with which you can share your videos uploaded to YouTube or Dropbox instantly through Twitter, Facebook, and Sina Weibo on iOS 6.

Speaking of iOS 6, iStopMotion now also lets you "purchase" iStopMotion Remote Camera directly from the app itself on iOS 6. I put "purchase" in quotes since iStopMotion Remote Camera is free to download.
Anyway, iStopMotion Remote Camera is a companion app to iStopMotion for iPad. It allows the use of the camera on an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad as a remote camera for iStopMotion for iPad.
Going back to the new version of iStopMotion, it now also has a built-in accessories page. This new page presents a library of products recommended for optimal use of iStopMotion.
Now requiring iOS 5.1 or later, the newly updated iStopMotion for iPad is available in the App Store for $9.99.
