Our Ultimate Gift Guide series wraps up with a look at some perfect accessories for women and their iOS devices.
Yes, You Can Actually Fit An iPad In A Purse
While I never thought the words “purse” and “iPad” go together, the Borsetta from Sena is looking to change that. The designer purse, made from premium top-grain leather, features numerous pockets and an independent zippered compartment with woven leather detail for an iPad. The Borsetta also can be made into a two-position stand for media viewing and typing.
Available in black, red, pink, and white, the Borsetta retails for $149.99 and can be ordered
directly through Sena.
Carry An iPhone in Style
Made from faux leather, the MICHAEL Michael Kors “Signature” Phone Wristlet allows ladies to stow any generation iPhone and other small essentials. The wristlet has a currency pocket, three interior card slots, and an optional wrist strap.
The wristlet is available for $88 at
Nordstorm stores or online. It is available in four different colors – black, black/silver, brown, and vanilla.
Leather Luxury
A little less expensive, the COACH Legacy case is made of real leather and features a top-zip enclosure. Along with an exterior slip pocket, there is an interior wall pocket with three card slots.
The case fits all iPhone models and most other smartphones. Available in black, brown, pink, and purple, the case is $58 and also available
at Nordstrom.
Never Worry About Charging Your iPhone
Products like the Everpurse are bringing together style and really cool technology. Instead of having to worry about the battery power of an iPhone, the lining of the Everpurse contains wireless charging technology. To charge an iPhone 4/4S or iPhone 5, women can simply put their phone in a special wireless charging pouch in the purse. The battery has enough power to charge an iPhone from 0 to 100 percent twice. At home, users place the Everpurse on a wireless charging mat to recharge its battery.
While this purse looks totally awesome, you unfortunately will only be able to give an IOU under the tree this holiday season. The Kickstarter campaign
closed in October, and shipping is estimated to be in March for those backers. But you can also preorder the Everpurse on the company’s website now.
A fabric version starts at $189, and prices go all the way to $319 for an emerald croc-pattern leather Everpurse. Shipping is quoted for Spring 2013.
A Cute Way To Protect An iPad Mini
Our own Juli Clover has done a great job looking at some inexpensive and nice looking handmade protection options for iOS devices in her
Handmade Highlights feature on AppAdvice this year. It’s a little hard to pick my favorite, but I definitely like the Fairy Tip Toes case for the iPad mini. The linen cover has a nice design and is closed with a string and button. Foam inside the case helps protect the iPad mini.
The case is $29.99 and can be
ordered on Etsy.
A Multi-Purpose Wedge
Doing double duty as both an iPhone cleaner and stand, the Toddy Wedge has plush microfiber on the bottom to provide scratch-free cleaning while the top is made of a nice looking microfiber silk. An AEGIS Microbe Shield protects against microorganisms that contribute to mold and mildew.
Our own Robin Rhys reviewed the Wedge last month in an episode of
AppAdvice Daily.
The Wedge can be ordered directly on the company’s website
for $14.99. Along with a plethora of color and design choices, there are also limited-time holiday versions with Santa and Rudolph.
Looking For A Unique Way To Protect Your iPhone?
One of my favorite third-party manufacturers, Griffin, has teamed up with nine artists for the Designer Series of cases for the iPhone 4/4S and iPhone 5. It’s really nice to see some of this beautiful art highlighted on iPhone cases. Take a look at some of these off-the-beaten-path designs.
Prices start at $29.99 for a shell-type case for the iPhone. A layered case for the iPhone 4/4S is $5 more.
Colorful Tunes
The Jambox from Jawbone has helped defined the portable Bluetooth speaker market. And it has gotten even more colorful. Once confined to simple black, gray, and red color choices, Jawbone introduced a wide variety of customization options for the speaker
this summer. With different color choices for the speaker grill and top and bottom of the speaker, you can now choose from one of more than 100 combinations.
A color-customized version is $199.99 and can be ordered on
Jawbone’s website.
These Headphones Are Stylish And Sound Great
While there are numerous headphone options that sound good, fashion often takes a back seat. But Frends is looking to combine both with its jewelry-inspired Taylor line of over-the-ear headphones. Along with powerful 40mm drivers, there is a three-button multifunction microphone that allows for hands-free calls and volume adjustment. Memory foam earpads help make the Taylor comfortable to wear.
The rose gold and white version of the headphones retail for $199.99 and can be
purchased at Best Buy. It is also backed by a lifetime warranty.
Baby, It’s Cold Outside
If you live in a colder part of the United States, a pair of gloves are essential winter clothing. And there are many options for women who want to use their iOS device while keeping their hands warm at the same time. With panels on the index and thumb fingers, the LAUREN Ralph Lauren Contrast Points Touch Glove feature contrast stitching at the top of each glove.
The gloves come in a gray/black or black/cream color combination. They retail for $42 and can be ordered
through Zappos.com.
Bryan M. Wolfe also recently took a look at six other
winter gloves for gadget lovers.
