Three Popular Cable Television Channels Now Have iPad Apps

December 14, 2012
Christmas has come early for fans of the HISTORY, Lifetime, and A&E television networks. All three channels have new apps in the App Store with access to full episodes of popular series. The apps allow users to create a customized watchlist of their favorite shows. Some of the more popular shows with full episodes include “Duck Dynasty,” “Storage Wars,” “The First 48,” “Pawn Stars,” “American Pickers,” “Swamp People,” “Project Runway,” “Dance Moms,” and “Army Wives.” Along with the full episodes, there are numerous show clips and other exclusive footage never before seen on TV. I was able to quickly download the A&E app, and within seconds was able to start a full episode of my wife’s new favorite show, “Duck Dynasty.” HISTORY, Lifetime, and A&E are only for the iPad and iPad mini. They are all free and can be downloaded in the App Store now. Comcast cable subscribers can login and get access to even more content. But even though I’m not a Comcast subscriber, I was able to view a number of full episodes and other clips in the apps. AirPlay support is also promised as "coming soon." If you’re interested in finding other television apps, take a look at our AppList full of TV viewing options. [gallery link="file"]
