Apple Rumored To Be Already Testing Golden Master Of iOS 6.1

Apple is already testing the final build of iOS 6.1, reports iFun. According to a "reliable source" of the German Apple-centric blog, the new beta of iOS 6.1 is currently being tested internally in Cupertino. The build in question is the fifth iOS 6.1 beta and is likely to be the golden master of the new iOS version. This means that it's the same build that will be released to the public. Of course, before it does reach the public, the new beta will be made available to developers first. And it's expected to be seeded to developers as early as Monday, Jan. 14. The first build of iOS 6.1 was seeded to developers in early November last year, just hours after the public release of iOS 6.0.1. The second, third, and fourth betas were released in mid-November, early December, and mid-December, respectively. Also in December, iOS 6.0.2 was publicly released. To be sure, the upcoming iOS 6.1 is not a huge update. But it does add several new features, the most notable of which is the ability to purchase movie tickets with Siri's Fandango integration. As noted by AppleInsider, iOS 6.1 is compatible with iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad (second-, third-, and fourth-generation), iPad mini, and iPod touch (fourth- and fifth--generation).
