Cellular iPad mini And Fourth-Gen iPad To Be Released In China This Friday

Apple has just announced that the Wi-Fi + Cellular versions of the iPad mini and the fourth-generation iPad will be available in China on Friday, Jan. 18. The Wi-Fi-only versions of the iPad mini and the fourth-generation iPad had been released in China in December last year. The iPhone 5, the latest generation of Apple's flagship iDevice, had also been made available in the country at the same time. According to Sina Tech, the 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB versions of the Wi-Fi + Cellular iPad mini will be priced locally at CNY 3,488 (USD 560), CNY 4,288 (USD 688) and CNY 5,088 (USD 816), respectively. The 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB versions of the fourth-generation iPad, on the other hand, will be priced locally at CNY 4,688 (USD 752), CNY 5,488 (USD 881) and CNY 6,288 (USD 1,009), respectively. Apple also stated that the iPad mini and the fourth-generation iPad are currently available in more than 100 countries. This makes the rollout for the two devices one of the Cupertino-based company's fastest international rollouts, along with the rollout for the iPhone 5. Apple's latest announcement confirms CEO Tim Cook's statement that he two devices in question will be made available in China before the end of the month.
