Enemy Shooters Come In All Shapes And Sizes In ShapeWars
January 7, 2013
Imagine if all of the basic shapes in the entire universe waged war against one another. You can't? Don't worry, you won't have to. Just play the recently released and aptly named ShapeWars.
Basically, ShapeWars is a shooting game. But in this game, you play as a spacecraft-like set of triangles inundated with ammunition from enemies of various shapes and sizes.
According to ShapeWars' App Store description, how your enemies came across such powerful ammunition is a riddle. And to unlock that riddle, all you have to do is beat the enemies.
To help you do so, you'll also come across with a variety of weapons to attack your aggressors with.
There's the auto-aim weapon. There's also the missile weapon. And then there's the weapon that spews out snake-like bullets.
But these weapons are yours for the taking only in the game's Infinity mode, in which you can earn coins as you shoot your enemies. These coins can then be used to purchase upgrades in the in-game store.
In the game's other mode, you are unarmed and all you can do is pick up power ups while dodging your enemies' attacks. For this reason, this mode is called Dodge mode.
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 4.3 or later, ShapeWars is available now in the App Store for free.
