Turn Back Time And Surf Through Space In Time Surfer
January 9, 2013
The acclaimed retro-styled iOS platformer Bean's Quest has just received an update. But this post is actually not about Bean's Quest.
Why do I mention Bean's Quest then? Well, Bean's Quest latest update does two things. One, it fixes an app-switching music bug in the game. And two, it adds information about the game's developer's new release, Time Surfer.
And yes, this post is actually about Time Surfer, the latest game from Kumobius.
Time Surfer, as succinctly described by Kumobius, is a combination of Braid and Tiny Wings.
As in Braid, you have the ability to rewind time in the game. And as in Tiny Wings, you have to make wavelike movements, i.e., do some surfing, as you traverse various landscapes in the game.

Hence, the game's title: Time Surfer. And hence, the following bit from the game's App Store description:
Dodge spikes, pits and the end of the universe - it’s a typical, never-ending day in the life of a trans-dimensional cosmic time god! Pick up speed, magnet and time bonuses! Miss one? Rewind and grab it!Time Surfer features psychedelic visuals coupled with a spacey chiptune soundtrack. What's more, true to its time-traveling conceit, the game features such time-traveling icons as the TARDIS, the DeLorean, and the monkey king on a cloud. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, Time Surfer is available in the App Store for $0.99 right about … now. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
