Apple Releases iOS 6.1.2 To Squash Exchange Calendar Bug

February 19, 2013
Apple has just released iOS 6.1.2 that fixes a nasty Microsoft Exchange bug. The issue, present since iOS 6.1, caused an increase in network activity and reduced battery life. As we reported earlier this month, the bug often caused a continuous loop when trying to sync a recurring calendar meeting invitation. AOL even reportedly disabled meeting management from iOS devices because of the issues. Unlike iOS 6.1.1, which was released last week only for the iPhone 4S, this update is for all iOS devices running 6.1. You can update over the air by going to Settings, General, Software Update, and then following the instructions. Or you can plug your device into a computer and update via iTunes. We will let you know if there are any other changes in the software.
