Listen To Your Audiobooks On The Go With The New Universal Version Of Audible

February 20, 2013
Yesterday, the IMDb Movies & TV app was updated with, among others, Amazon Instant Video integration and a special Oscars section. Now, the official iOS app of another Amazon-owned company has also received a new significant update. I'm referring to Audible, whose iOS app has just been updated to version 2.0 with a new design on top of its long-overdue universal support. Officially branded in the App Store as Audiobooks from Audible, the Audible app for iOS was launched way back in July 2010. It debuted as an app optimized for iPhone and iPod touch only. But fast forward to nearly three years later, and the app is now, at long last, optimized for iPad as well. Along with the new iPad edition comes a new design for the app, which allows for the following enhancements:
  • Improved Navigation: easier to user while on the go
  • Simplified start up: sign-in with your Amazon account
  • New library filter: hide your finished titles from view
  • Downloads on the go: download up to three hours of audio over 3G/4G
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0, Audiobooks from Audible 2.0 is available now in the App Store for free. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
