When you're trying to stay fit, sometimes all you need is a little push. And that's what the recently released Cody is here to give you.
Cody is a new fitness app for iOS that lets you share your workouts with friends. Your friends can then motivate you to go the extra mile, or lose an extra pound, as it were.
The app lets you log your workouts in various activities, including crossfit, barre, yoga, running, cycling, walking, swimming, hiking, and gym exercises.
For each workout you log, you can specify your time and distance. So far, Cody offers no automation with regard to entering workout details.
However, Cody lets you attach a photo, a note, and a geotag to each of your workout. And if you're logged in to Facebook, you can automatically have your workouts posted to your Facebook Timeline.
Your workouts can be liked and commented on by your followers. Of course, you can also follow your friends on Cody and motivate them just as they cheer you on.
Know who else can cheer you on? Cody himself, the app's resident virtual fitness coach who appears to be on a mission to look fit and ask Siri out.
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5.0 or later, Cody is available now in the App Store for free.
