Check Out The New Shipping And Availability Options In The Apple Store App
March 13, 2013
Apple's official Apple Store app has just been issued a new update.
Updates to Apple's official iOS apps are few and far between. But when a new update does arrive, it's generally one that brings notable improvements. And the latest update to the Apple Store app is one such update.
The new update brings two improvements, both of which are aimed at making Apple Store shopping an even easier experience.
Unfortunately, neither of these improvements is the app's long-overdue native iPad support, which would certainly make said experience easier.
What the update does offer is the ability to choose different shipping options for different items in an order. This is quite useful for when, say, you're ordering a new MacBook Pro for yourself and a new iPod touch for a loved one who lives in the city, coast, or even hemisphere opposite yours.
The other improvement offered by the update is the ability to see if the product you want is available for pickup at your favorite U.S. Apple Retail Store. This, in turn, is a follow-up improvement to the personal pickup feature introduced in the app alongside EasyPay in late 2011.
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5.0 or later, the new version of the Apple Store app is available now in the App Store for free.
