Create Collections Of Your Favorite Sounds With SoundCloud's Sets Feature
March 21, 2013
The latest update to SoundCloud for iOS is here. And it's set to bring, er, sets.
Yes, the new version of the official iOS app of the popular online audio distribution platform introduces sets. But only to the app's iPhone edition for now, with its iPad edition set to gain support for sets soon.
So, what are sets anyway? Basically, sets are like playlists. They are collections of tracks from across the SoundCloud network.
Now, following the app's new update, sets posted by others appear in your stream. Of course, you can listen to sets posted by others. And you can also create your own sets and have them appear in your followers' streams.
To create a new set or add a track to an existing set, just tap the new "add to set" icon in the "now playing" screen.
The new sets functionality in SoundCloud also comes with the ability to search for sets. A new filter in the search tab lets you search specifically for sets.
Also included in the new SoundCloud app update are the following enhancements:
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 4.3 or later, the new version of SoundCloud for iOS is available now in the App Store for free. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
