Feeling Generous? Now You Can Gift Deals In Amazon Local For iOS

Amazon Local for iOS has just been treated to a great deal: its first major update since its launch in September last year.
So, what's so great about the first major update to Amazon's official deals-of-the-day app for iOS? Well, if you're the generous type, then the updated version of Amazon Local is something you might like.
That's because the new version of Amazon Local introduces deal gifting. Yes, now you can send Amazon Local deals as gifts.
Most deals included in the app are "giftable." So, when you come across a deal that you think is perfect for a friend or family member, just tap the "Buy as a Gift" or "See Gift Options & Buy" button for that deal.
You then need to enter the name and email address of the recipient and the date on which you want the deal-gift to be sent. Note that you can send gifts right away or on a future date.
Optionally, you can also include a short message to accompany your gift.
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 4.3 or later, the new version of Amazon Local is available now in the App Store for free.
The newly updated app also includes a fix that addresses a crashing issue that occurs after an Amazon.com password change.
