Less than a month after it hit the App Store, SEGA has just released a new update to Sonic Dash that adds some nice improvements.
Version 1.1 is highlighted by the addition of new daily challenges. Players can now complete a challenge to win prizes like the always handy red star rings, and even additional characters to play with.
Also, some of the obstacles have been revamped so players can finally avoid some certain-death situations.
And along with the new Mission Tracker on the main menu, the title has been optimized to play better on both the iPhone 4 and fourth-generation iPod touch.
Sonic Dash is a universal title for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. It can be downloaded now in the App Store for free. As usual with this type of game, there are a number of in-app purchases available to snag more coins.
While I usually steer clear of freemium apps like Sonic Dash, it has actually been one of my favorite endless runners to play lately. The graphics are very nice, even on the iPad mini, and the music definitely reminds me of the many hours I played Sonic as a kid.
