Starmatic Gets High-Resolution Photo Export And More In First Major Update

March 29, 2013
Starmatic, the Instagram alternative that debuted and earned an AppAdvice App of the Week honorable mention last September, has finally snapped its first major update. The latest update to Starmatic, which is the app's fourth update overall, brings a number of significant new features. First and foremost, Starmatic now supports high-resolution camera roll export. This lets you save photos edited with Starmatic to your camera roll in high resolution, 2448 by 2448 pixels, to be exact. By extension, this lets you use your Starmatic creations for further tasks that require high-resolution photos, including high-quality printing and studio-grade photo manipulation. The new version of Starmatic also lets you manage your account, block your undesired followers, delete underside comments for your photos, and find and follow your Twitter and Facebook friends on Starmatic. And speaking of Facebook, Starmatic now lets you customize the accompanying text when you share your photos on Facebook through the app's native iOS Facebook integration. Furthermore, the latest update to Starmatic includes the following improvements:
  • Launching Starmatic is much faster
  • The app no longer freezes in the Nearby section
  • Issues in finding people to follow from your contact list should no longer occur
  • Your filtered pictures will now keep their geotags
  • You can customize your username when you register with Facebook
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch, the newly updated Starmatic is available in the App Store for free. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
