The WeatherBug iPhone Apps Are Sporting A Brand-New Look

The venerable WeatherBug iPhone apps have just been updated and now boast a revamped user interface.
In version 3.0 of both WeatherBug and WeatherBug Elite, the new UI features quick navigation live tiles and a left and right slide menu.
Other additions include Spark lightning detection and photos of weather conditions submitted by WeatherBug users.
And to help users plan their day with an eye on the weather, the update brings three new forecast options. The GameDay Forecast shows the weather at Major League Baseball parks. The Family Forecast helps plan outdoor activities with loved ones, while the Fitness Forecast should tell you if it’s safe for a run outside.
The new UI really helps to liven up the app and give it a more modern feel. Since I live in Texas, I’m a big weather junkie, and WeatherBug is one of my go-to apps during severe weather season.
WeatherBug and WeatherBug Elite are for the iPhone/iPod touch. Both can be downloaded now in the App Store. WeatherBug Elite costs $1.99 while the free app does contain ads.
The separate WeatherBug for iPad app didn’t receive an update today, unfortunately.
While WeatherBug is made for anyone interested in their local weather, the specialized app RadarScope also received a big update recently that added a slate of map enhancements.
