You'll Be Livin' Large Thanks To The Sims FreePlay's New Update

March 14, 2013
The Sims FreePlay, the freemium iOS version of Electronic Arts' The Sims, has just gotten another update. And this new update is just bursting at the Sims, I mean, seams. Previously, The Sims FreePlay has been treated to the Valentine's Day, Marriage and Babies, Easter, Toddler, Social, Style, Pre-Teen, Supernatural, Christmas, and Swimming Pool updates. Now, it's time for the game's Livin' Large update. The new update is so named because it includes a town map expansion that offers seven new beachside lots that happen to be twice as large as the standard lots. The update also includes seven extra Sims, bringing the total Sims count to 31. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. It also introduces new actor and real estate agent careers. In line with these new additions, there's now a new movie studio building and there's also a new real estate building. The Livin' Large update also brings the following additional features:
  • New Houses – Don’t miss the Neo Tokyo theme, Beachside Escape, and our Design-A-House competition winner
  • New Designer Countertops – Spruce up your kitchen with fancy materials
  • No More Mess – Take care of your Sims’ nasty habits with the all-new automatic vomit and pee cleaner
  • Level Up Faster – We’ve rebalanced the game from level 30 onwards to make it faster to level up. Now, it’s easier to get your Sims all the way to level 52!
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 4.3 or later, the new version of The Sims FreePlay is available now in the App Store for free. Note that the game is one hefty download; it tips the 1s and 0s scale at just over 360MB. Now that's large. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
