Trivie 2.0 Shines The Spotlight On New Premium Trivia Categories

April 24, 2013
Trivie, arguably the best turn-based trivia game on iOS and elsewhere, has just received its big 2.0 update. Question: What's the highlight of Trivie 2.0? Answer: Trivie Spotlight. "Version 2.0 introduces a new chapter for Trivie," says the team behind the game. "We've partnered with major celebrities, recording artists, athletes, and media outlets to bring you Trivie Spotlight. It's a whole new trivia experience that kicks off with our Spotlight music collection." The Spotlight music collection lets you test your trivia knowledge with several categories featuring Snoop Dogg, Sara Evans, Billboard Hot 100, and Billboard Country Music. These Spotlight categories, and those yet to come, offer a "VIP experience" with sleek themes and skins. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Each of the music-themed Spotlight categories can be unlocked via a $0.99 in-app purchase. But there's a non-music-themed Spotlight category that can be unlocked for free: the Earth Day category. Of course, Trivie 2.0 still carries the game's catalog of classic categories, including Comic Books and Celebrity Scandals. It also features a streamlined login and new game creation process. Unfortunately, Trivie 2.0 doesn't include universal support and native iPad compatibility. Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5.0 or later, Trivie 2.0 is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $2.99 download. Version 2.0 of the game's ad-supported edition is also available in the App Store for free. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
