Twitter's Vine Is Now The Most Popular App In The App Store

Vine is now the most popular free app in the App Store. The Twitter-owned app achieved this distinction just 12 weeks after it was first released. The news was first announced via a tweet from Vine co-founder Rus Yusupov.

The video-sharing app’s steady rise almost didn’t happen. Soon after it was released, Vine had become the home to pornographic content. However, Apple never pulled Vine from the App Store. Instead, the porn was deleted, and Vine’s rating now includes a mature rating of 17 and up. Along the way, the app itself has greatly improved.
