Evernote Food Updated With Auto-Lock Feature And Other Delicious Enhancements
May 11, 2013
Evernote Food, Evernote's standalone app that helps you remember, prepare, and even look for the kinds of food you love, has received another significant update.
An interesting addition brought by the new update to the app is a new auto-lock feature. This feature effectively turns Evernote Food into your hands-free cooking companion as it keeps your device from going into sleep mode while you're cooking.
And you might find yourself cooking a little more with Evernote Food by your side since the update also adds more recipes to the app.
Specifically, the update introduces recipes from Evernote's new Korean and Taiwanese recipe partners, Rimi and iCook. In addition, the update brings better PDF support for notes and recipes imported from Evernote.

If you'll recall, Evernote Food's previous update included improved Foursquare integration in the form of support for displaying the ratings of venues. Now, the new update further improves on that integration by displaying Foursquare venue rating in the list view.
Moreover, the update brings improved restaurant search by cuisine or other keywords as well as improved accuracy of nearby places and search results.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later, the new version of Evernote Food is available now in the App Store for free.
Starting with this version, you can already upgrade to Evernote Premium right within Evernote Food. Evernote Premium gives you access to all of the premium features across all of Evernote's apps and services.
