Flipboard Introduces Profile Pages For Personalized Magazine Curators Like You

May 13, 2013
Flipboard, the flipping popular social magazine app, has received its first significant update since its huge 2.0 update. Released late last March, Flipboard 2.0 introduced a number of new features, the most notable of which is support for "personalized" magazines. That is to say, Flipboard 2.0 gave you the ability to collect and save content into your very own magazines. And now, Flipboard lets you see your readership and curation activity statistics as well as those by others with its newly added support for profile pages. Each Flipboard profile page shows how many magazines, articles, and readers the corresponding user has so far. The new Flipboard update also lets you quickly discover magazines by friends with the new Friends category in the Content Guide. In addition, the new version of Flipboard features the following enhancements:
  • Select a social network and access options more easily in the improved share menu.
  • Share magazines and stories with friends and family via SMS text messaging.
  • Save images directly to your device. Tap item's share icon, then "Save to Camera Roll."
  • Improved navigation for Google Reader RSS folders
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, the new version of Flipboard is available now in the App Store for free. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
