Is Apple About To Give You A $10,000 App Store Gift Card?

In the next few hours or days, someone around the world will download the App Store's 50 billionth app. When this happens, that person will be awarded handsomely, as will those that initiate an app download immediately afterwards.
Apple is giving a $10,000 App Store Gift Card to whoever downloads the 50 billionth app. Each of the next 50 customers who download an app will receive $500 App Store Gift Cards.
First opened in July 2008, the App Store last celebrated a milestone in March 2012. It was then that the 25 billionth app was downloaded. That number is about to double, and will do so just 15 months later.

As noted by Apple in the App Store: "The 50 Billion Apps Countdown Promotion is open to entrants who are 13 years of age or older (or the minimum age required by your country) at time of entry, and are located in a participating country. Void where prohibited. Limit 25 entries per person per day. No purchase necessary. This contest ends after the download of the 50,000,000,050th app."
