Official Companion Camera App For Popular Olloclip Lens Attachment Now Available
May 28, 2013
The Olloclip is one of the most popular accessories for iPhoneographers. And now, an official companion camera app for the "quick-connect lens solution" for iPhone and iPod touch has been made available in the App Store.
Also called Olloclip, the app is, of course, designed to work in conjunction with the eponymous accessory. The accessory attaches onto the corner of your iPhone or iPod touch to enable you to shoot using three lens types. One side of the Olloclip holds the fisheye lens, while the other holds the wide-angle and macro lenses.
The app itself comes with three shooting modes, namely, Normal, Macro, and Video. Normal mode is, of course, used for most shooting conditions. Macro mode is ideal for setting your focus when shooting with the Olloclip's macro 10x lens. And Video mode is recommended for shooting videos in landscape while using the Olloclip.

The Olloclip app also comes with a Mesh Editor tool that lets you adjust the curve-like effect brought about by conversion lenses. You can also use this tool to adjust photos from your device's library.
In addition, the app features a pair of reticles that allow you to adjust focus and exposure independently or together on the viewfinder screen.
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5.1 or later, the Olloclip companion camera app is available now in the App Store for free.
If you don't have an Olloclip yet, you can buy one for $69.99. The Olloclip is available in red, white, and black, and it's sold through its official website and authorized resellers, including Apple, Best Buy, Target, and Sprint.
