Shelf Control: Go Crazy Over Free Comic Strips With GoComics For iOS

A couple of days ago, which was the first Saturday in May, Free Comic Book Day was held in celebration of — what else? — comics. But did you know that every day could practically be a day of free comics if you have a particular app on your iDevice? And that app is none other than GoComics, the featured app for this week's edition of Shelf Control.
Released just a few weeks ago, GoComics is the official iOS app of the popular comics website of the same name.
Not unlike its counterpart on the Web, GoComics for iOS gives you access to a variety of comic strips and cartoons, both classic and contemporary.
Looking for "Peanuts," "Garfield," or "Calvin and Hobbes"? How about "Dilbert," "Foxtrot," or "Cathy"? GoComics has them and more.
In addition to indulging you with comic strips that have become cult classics, GoComics lets you discover comic strips from up-and-coming cartoonists through its Sherpa section.
Moreover, GoComics includes a section where you can dive into editorial cartoons from cartoonists who between them have collected more than 20 Pulitzer Prizes for editorial cartooning.
Oh, and … ¿Hablas español? That is to say, do you speak Spanish? Then there's a section in GoComics that's especially for you. This section, simply called Español, lets you read selected comic strips en Español.
There's also the My Comics section, which lets you view all of the comic strips that you've bookmarked. And then there's the Favorites section, which, similarly, lets you view all of the individual comic strip installments that you've favorited.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, GoComics is available in the App Store for free.
