South Australia is about to get its first Apple Store. Located in Rundle Mall, Adelaide, the all-new retail store has a "Grand Opening" event scheduled for this Saturday, May 25, 2013, at 10 a.m. local time.
In a report from Adelaide Now, it is noted that the first customers through the new Apple Store's doors at 10 a.m. will even receive a free commemorative T-shirt. "It's a resounding assurance of the fact Rundle Mall is the centre of business and retail in South Australia [and that] Rundle Place is the premier retail centre in the city and in SA," Rundle Mall Management Authority chairman Theo Maras said.
While a number of Apple Stores are available throughout Australia, this will be the first official store to open in the southern state.
Apple is indeed continuing to expand on the worldwide availability of its Apple Stores, with the company recently opening a new retail store in Berlin and reportedly planning to launch a fourth venue in Beijing by the end of the year. Apple Stores worldwide currently attract an average 23,000 people per week.
Rundle Mall's new Apple Store will feature a Genius Bar, a One to One service, in-store workshops, and free youth programs. We'll keep you updated with further news on the new retail store as it becomes available.
