Indie developer Re-Logic announced recently that its hit game Terraria will be arriving on “phones and tablets” this summer.
Even though it doesn’t mention iOS by name, mobile developer Codeglue has released titles in the App Store, including Beer Pong and Beer Pong HD.
Originally released in 2011, Terraria has made its way to the PC and can be downloaded on the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. It is a side-scrolling, action-adventure game with an emphasis on crafting and exploring in many different vibrant worlds. So basically Minecraft in 2-D.
Gamers will explore the worlds while taking on more than 100 bad guys, magical creatures, and bosses. The game’s controls have been redesigned for touchscreens and other aspects of the title have been tweaked for a strong experience on mobile devices.
The game will also support leaderboards, achievements, and Facebook integration.
We’ll let you know when we hear more information about Terraria.
