Welcome A Brand New Day In The Atmospheric Side-Scrolling Platformer Badland

May 30, 2013
Badland, the atmospheric side-scrolling platformer that was hailed as AppAdvice's Game of the Week after its launch last month, has just walked in to a brand new day. Or flown into a brand new day, I should say, since you'll be guiding the game's curious critters as they fly through Day II of Badland. The latest update to Badland effectively removes the "coming soon" label on the game's Day II section and finally makes it available for play. And for its inaugural offering, Day II presents 10 new levels for its "Dawn" stage, which come with 30 new missions and five new achievements. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. You can play those levels now by downloading or updating to the new version of Badland in the App Store. It is, of course, available as a free update to existing players. For new ones, it's available as a $3.99 universal download. According to Badland developer Frogmind, the "Noon" stage of Day II is already under development. So, you can expect more levels to come to the game soon — in late June or early July, by Frogmind's estimation. The developer also says that Badland now has more than 150,000 players.
