Enter The School Of Scares With Monsters, Inc. Run's 'Monsters University' Update
June 13, 2013
With just over a week before the release of "Monsters University," it's safe to assume that Disney has begun marketing the prequel to 2001's "Monsters, Inc." with full-on force. And as part of its doubling down on its promotional efforts, Disney has just issued a "Monsters University"-themed update to Monsters, Inc. Run.
The latest update to the auto-running platformer based on Get Set Games' Mega Run adds a new Monsters University world that contains 16 new stages set in the titular school of scares. Enter this world and you can play as the young versions of Mike and Sulley.
You know what? Why not play as the young versions of the famous scare duo in any stage in any world in Monsters, Inc. Run? Because now you can.

The new version of Monsters, Inc. Run is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $1.99 download.
Released in December last year, the game has so far received three updates, including this new one. Its first two updates added the Desert Canyon and Cherry Mountains worlds to the existing Monstropolis Rooftops, Jungle Ruins, and Ice Cave worlds.
Apart from this "Monsters University"-themed update, Disney has used its newly launched Draw Something-like game ScribbleMix to promote the upcoming film. In addition, it has released a couple of official tie-in iOS titles in the form of Monsters University Storybook Deluxe and Monsters University: Catch Archie.
