Got 7 Minutes? Train With Arnold Or Kate In The Newly Updated Workout

June 3, 2013
Workout, the seven-minute workout app released just about a week ago, has already received its first update. As noted by Ramy in his AppAdvice review, Workout "guides you through the seven minutes of intense exercise and tracks your progress in a calendar." "The interface is beautifully simple, so you have no chance of getting distracted," Ramy added. "When you’re ready to get pumped, you just say so and the countdown will begin." And now, Workout has been updated with voice-overs from a virtual trainer who announces each exercise as it comes up. What's more, you can choose between manly Arnold and mellifluous Kate as your trainer. Whomever you choose, you can expect to hear the following voice-over notifications, each of which is followed by the standard countdown "in 3, 2, 1."
  • Get ready for jumping jacks …
  • Prepare to wall sit …
  • Time for push-ups …
  • Abdominal crunch is next …
  • Get ready to step up onto chair …
  • Prepare to squat …
  • Triceps dip on chair is next …
  • Get ready to plank …
  • Time for high-knees running …
  • Lunge is next …
  • Prepare to push-up and rotation …
  • Side plank is next …
The new version of Workout is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $1.99 download. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.1 or later. The newly updated app also includes additional animations for the plank, side plank and wall sit exercises. Moreover, it brings additional music and the ability to play music from other apps.
