Kings Of Leon, Vampire Weekend And More Added To 2013 iTunes Festival Lineup

The popular American alternative rock bands Kings of Leon and Vampire Weekend, along with several other performing acts, have been confirmed to headline this year's iTunes Festival in London. Also newly added to the festival's lineup of headliners are: Canadian guitarist Bahamas, Italian classical composer Ludovico Einaudi, American pop punk band Paramore, French synthpop band Phoenix, Scottish dance-rock band Primal Scream, American hard rock band Queens of the Stone Age, English hip hop duo Rizzle Kicks, and Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós. They join previously announced headliners Justin Timberlake, Jessie J, Jack Johnson, and Thirty Seconds to Mars. Here's the current lineup of headliners and their respective performance dates for this year's iTunes Festival, according to BBC:
  • Sept. 2 - Sigur Rós
  • Sept. 4 - Paramore
  • Sept. 5 - Rizzle Kicks
  • Sept. 6 - Queens of the Stone Age
  • Sept. 7 - Phoenix
  • Sept. 11 - Kings of Leon
  • Sept. 15 - Vampire Weekend
  • Sept. 16 - Jack Johnson + Bahamas
  • Sept. 17- Ludovico Einaudi
  • Sept. 18 - Thirty Seconds to Mars
  • Sept. 20 - Primal Scream
  • Sept. 23 - Jessie J
  • Sept. 29 - Justin Timberlake
First held in 2007, the iTunes Festival is an annual Apple-sponsored music festival that features over 60 performing acts and runs every night in September at The Roundhouse in London. Performances during the festival can be streamed live for free on Apple TVs or on iOS devices via the iTunes Festival London 2013 app. Tickets to the festival are not available for sale. Rather, they are given to competition winners only in certain countries, including the U.S., Australia, Brazil, Canada, Europe, Japan, Mexico, and the U.K. For more information, visit the official iTunes Festival website.
