Minecraft - Pocket Edition Updated With Alpha Support For Upcoming Realms Service
June 6, 2013
Minecraft - Pocket Edition, the official iOS edition of the popular sandbox game developed by Mojang, has just been updated with alpha support for the upcoming Realms service.
Announced last March, Realms is a service that will allow players to work together on a single world via an online cooperative mode. The service is expected to be launched this summer for both PC and mobile editions of Minecraft.
The alpha version of Realms, which has just been added to Minecraft - Pocket Edition, is currently free. But it will be an optional paid service following its official launch.

The service will cost around $10 to $15 per month for the PC version. No price range has been announced for Minecraft - Pocket Edition, but it will probably be less than the charge for the desktop edition.
The new version of Minecraft - Pocket Edition is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $6.99 universal download.
The latest update to the game also adds buckets, fire, smooth lighting, spawn eggs, chat, eggs, milk, and cake. Also, it introduces new menus and ensures that the connecting players inventory is now saved on a server.
