Apple's iPad Usage Hits 84.3 Percent In June

If you’re surfing the Web on a tablet, the odds are you’re using an iPad. During the month of June, iPad users accounted for 84.3 percent of all tablet Web traffic in the United States and Canada. Amazon’s Kindle Fire (5.7 percent), and Samsung’s Galaxy Tablet families (4.2 percent) followed, according to a new Chitika survey.

To determine the distribution of Web usage among tablet devices for the month of June 2013, Chitika Insights sampled tens of millions of U.S. and Canadian tablet online ad impressions running through the Chitika Ad Network. The data used within the most recent analysis was drawn across the time frame of June 15 to June 21, 2013, and data for previous months was collected from Chitika Insights’ April and May tablet market share reports, respectively.Apple is expected to launch the fifth-generation iPad in September or October.
