Cydia Tweak: Search YouTube From The Home Screen With VeloxTube For Velox

In my opinion, launching the YouTube app, or even opening Safari to search for videos can be a hassle. Luckily, VeloxTube for Velox brings a smart folder to the official YouTube app.
This new add-on tweak will allow you to search YouTube right from your home screen. If you're a Velox user, install this tweak and swipe across the YouTube icon to activate it. You’ll even have to ability to watch videos without launching the YouTube app or Safari. It’s a very handy tweak, but there are a couple of small inconveniences.
First, once you’ve used VeloxTube to search YouTube, you’ll notice that the tweak uses YouTube’s native mobile interface. It’s not horrible, but as you can imagine, YouTube wasn’t designed to fit inside of a Velox folder.
The next problem I noticed is that VeloxTube has no navigation buttons. As you can see in the image above, once you've found a video, there’s no way to return to your place within the search results aside from using the search function again. Of course, this tweak wasn’t created to replace YouTube's mobile site or app, but if you want to do any extensive browsing you’re better off using a native solution.
Aside from that, I found VeloxTube for Velox to perform exactly as promised and it definitely provides a quick and easy way to find a video in a pinch. If you’re interested in trying this tweak, you’ll need to make sure that you have Velox installed.
Currently, VeloxTube for Velox is available for free in the BigBoss repository. If you frequent YouTube a lot to search for random videos, this Velox add-on may be for you.
