Despicable Me: Minion Rush Runs Into First Ever Despicable Update

July 17, 2013
Despicable Me: Minion Rush, which has been my endless running game addiction since its release a month ago, has just received its first ever update. As noted by Gameloft, which created the game in collaboration with Universal Studios, the first update to Despicable Me: Minion Rush brings "more fun, surprises and Minion moments" from "Despicable Me 2." In the newly updated Despicable Me: Minion Rush, you can expect to run, jump, and dodge obstacles in a new game environment inspired by one of the settings in the sequel to 2010's "Despicable Me." It's called El Macho's Lair, and you can access it from the main menu or by running in the residential area. The newly added "Despicable Me 2" content in Despicable Me: Minion Rush also includes new evil purple Minions to knock down and a new villain-sidekick duo to defeat. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. The first Despicable Me: Minion Rush update also includes the following enhancements:
  • Prepare for summer in a new secret area…
  • Celebrate Agnes’ birthday in the residential area!
  • More than 150 new missions and achievements!
  • Overall fixes and optimizations
The new version of Despicable Me: Minion Rush is available now in the App Store for free. The game is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later. Despicable Me: Minion Rush earned an AppAdvice Game of the Week honorable mention shortly after its release last month.
