Boxes has just "unboxed" its first update. Released by Boxes Inc. just over a couple of weeks ago, Boxes is an app that helps you organize and keep track of your stuff. In crafting this update, Boxes Inc. took customer feedback into consideration, especially with regard to the app's search functionality:
Until today, many of you had difficulty locating our search. Well not anymore! We created a whole new search experience that's like non-other. Now you can search from right inside the main menu, but this isn't your typical main menu search. Give it a test drive and you'll see the difference :)Aside from that, though, Boxes' first update brings a number of other notable improvements. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. These include support for displaying your public contact information. This is particularly useful if you're looking to sell your stuff and you wish to be contacted by potential buyers not only within Boxes but also outside the app. The update also brings support for private boxes, which, naturally, are visible only to you. Furthermore, the update adds a new Watches & Jewelry category and a new introductory video set to Norah Jones' "Everybody Needs A Best Friend," alluding to Boxes' potential as your best friend when it comes to organizing and keeping track of your stuff. You can watch the video anytime in the app's Settings section, or you can watch it now as it's also embedded above. The new and improved version of Boxes is available now in the App Store for free. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5.0 or later. For more information on Boxes, check out Christine original review of the app here on AppAdvice.
