Say Hello To MagBak, Described As The World's Thinnest iPad Mount
July 23, 2013
Looking for an iPad mount that doesn’t require a lot of fuss? Say hello to the MagBak, a new Kickstarter project launching now.
Created by Alex Baca + 1Lss Inc., MagBak is called the world’s thinnest mount for iPad. It mounts to most metal surfaces without adding any significant bulk or thickness. For non-metal surfaces, use the O-Ring, which is included with each MagBak.
Take a look:
The MagBak will be available in six different colors to match Apple’s own SmartCover line. It also works with the Smarter Stand, which was funded via Kickstarter in 2012.
Baca hopes to raise $15,000 before Sept. 6 to fund the project. Pledges start at $24 for the “Early Bird Special.” Those who pledge $34 or more will receive one MagBak in any color, plus a metal O-Ring. For a pledge of $39 or more, backers will receive a MagBak with two metal O-Rings. Assuming that the project is successfully funded, gifts will ship in September.
We’re attempting to get our hands on a MagBak. When we do, we’ll let you know what we think. In the meantime, visit the project’s official Kickstarter page for more information.
