Apple Revamps Its Education Web Page Ahead Of iOS 7 Launch

August 24, 2013
Apple has made a number of alterations to its "Apple and Education" Web page, promoting its products - and particularly the iPad - as educational tools fit to enhance any classroom. In terms of appearance, the Web page now features a more minimalistic design made up of four separate images, which link to further sections of Apple's website: "iPad: Tap into potential," "Mac: Powering the classroom since 1984," "Special Education: Possibility is built right in," and "Real Stories: Innovative teachers, inspired learners." Here, Apple also promotes its "Back to School" offering, whereby students (or teachers) purchasing Mac computers can grab a free $100 iTunes Gift Card, while new iPhone and iPad purchases result in $50 Gift Cards. Of course, Apple is pushing the iPad as an important educational tool, and features such as mobile device management (MDM) make it possible to effectively integrate the tablet computer within educational environments.
