Daniel Tiger’s Day And Night Helps Young Children Learn Morning, Nighttime Routines

August 29, 2013
Just in time for a special event on Monday, Sept. 2, PBS Kids has launched the second iOS app featuring "Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood." Daniel Tiger’s Day and Night is designed for kids 2 to 4 and helps them understand basic morning and nighttime routines. Featuring eight different games, young children can help get Daniel ready in the morning for school and to bed at night with a dose of imaginative play and songs. Probably my favorite part of the app is the built-in timer that helps keep kids on task during the morning and night. With two children under 6, I could definitely use that. Based on the iconic TV show “Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood,” the animated series is celebrating “Neighbor Day” on Monday. The new episode shows Daniel enjoying being a neighbor and doing acts of kindness. Daniel Tiger’s Day and Night is a universal app designed for both the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. It can be downloaded now in the App Store for $2.99. The first universal app in the series, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood: Play at Home with Daniel, is also available to download in the App Store for $1.99.
