In a collaboration with popular artist Jason Maloney, UE has just introduced a special, limited edition UE BOOM Bluetooth speaker featuring the artist’s signature character, Tippsy the Elephant.
The elephant is seen on well-known murals across Southern California and even in a popular children’s clothing line from surf brand Hurley. And now, Tippsy is making the move to the UE BOOM speaker.
Featuring 360-degree sound and a special acoustic skin that protects it from water and other stains, the UE BOOM is powered by a rechargeable battery than can last for up to 15 hours.
We originally reviewed the speaker earlier this year, and really enjoyed the great combination of portability and killer sound. Users, with the help of the free app available to download in the App Store now, can even pair two speakers together for a stereo surround sound experience.
You can snag the limited edition speaker directly from UE’s site now for $229.99. UE also promised that buyers could find the speaker at Apple’s online store, but as of now, only the regular edition of the speaker is available for $199.99.
Only 500 of the Tippsy speakers have been manufactured.
