Lately, there's been an abundance of messaging app updates. At least a couple of these involved the addition of support for stickers, you know, those special emoticons that tend to be larger than life. Over the past week, WeChat and Kik were updated with said support. And now, it's MessageMe's turn to get stuck with stickers. Indeed, MessageMe has just received an update that introduces stickers to the party, with characters ranging from pandas to penguins to Finn and Jake from "Adventure Time." You can check out all of the available sticker packs (most of which are priced at $1.99 each) in the new sticker shop. Here's what the members of the MessageMe team have to say about the "sticky situation" they've just gotten themselves into:
It’s the easiest way to share great moments with everyone that matters most to you. With stickers, unlimited expression is only a click away. Text your friends hundreds of colorful, expressive characters to capture just how you feel in any given moment. Excited, in love or feeling flirty, there is a sticker for every occasion. In addition to stickers, the new MessageMe update introduces Photo Broadcast. This new feature lets you quickly snap expressive photos and privately send them to select friends or groups. Finally, the update delivers a new sign-up process whereby you have to enter your phone number, a verification code, and your full name, email, and password in order to register to MessageMe. The new version of MessageMe is available now in the App Store for free. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 4.3 or later.
