Portable power accessory maker mophie has just brightened up its juice pack helium battery case for the iPhone 5 with the introduction of five new and distinctive color choices – purple, blue, pink, green, and red. The new matte-finish cases offer a burst of bright color that should also help protect against drops, bumps, and scratches. A 1,500mAh rechargeable lithium polymer battery will provide users with up to 30 more hours of audio playback and up to seven additional hours of talk time. And with the pass-through micro-USB cable, users can charge both the iPhone 5 and case simultaneously. Flipping a toggle switch on the back of the case begins to charge the handset from the reserve battery. A bank of LEDs on the back of the case shows how much battery charge remains. The case provides access to all ports and buttons while the enhanced, front-facing speakers redirect audio to the user. To access the headphone jack, users must take advantage of the included 3.5mm adapter. Retailing for $79.95, the new colors of the juice pack helium can be ordered now from mophie’s site. If you’re looking for more power, the company also offers two larger iPhone 5 battery cases. The juice pack air has a 1,700 mAH battery and retails for $99.95 while the juice pack plus costs $119.95 and boasts a 2,100 mAH cell.
