Soulver For iPhone Updated With iCloud Syncing, URL Scheme Support And More
August 29, 2013
Soulver, the acclaimed notepad calculator app, has just been updated to version 2.2.
Soulver 2.2 introduces several notable improvements, foremost of which is support for iCloud syncing.
Already added to Soulver for Mac last December, iCloud syncing now works on iDevices running iOS 6.0 or later to keep your Soulver documents in sync and up to date. In regard to this, Soulver developer Acqualia notes:
You can continue to use Dropbox for syncing, however files will now be synced to “Dropbox/Apps/Soulver”. Please sync your current version of Soulver with Dropbox before updating, otherwise you might need to manually move across files stored elsewhere in your Dropbox.Soulver 2.2 also happens to add support for subfolders present in iCloud as well as in Dropbox. Moreover, the new version of Soulver brings support for URL schemes designed for use in such apps as Launch Center Pro. With these URL schemes, you can automatically, say, open Soulver, create a new Soulver document with text, or append text to an existing Soulver document. Other improvements in Soulver 2.2 include:
Soulver 2.2 is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $2.99 download. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5.1 or later. Soulver for iPad is also available in the App Store for $4.99. But it's yet to be updated with support for iCloud syncing. Soulver is included in AppAdvice's Best Calculators For The iPhone AppGuide.
